Relationships between Australian and Indonesian people have been constantly improving since the Australian Consulate Bali has been established in Indonesia.
If you are willing to apply to get a visa, it is strongly recommended to visit the website from the Department of Immigration and Citizenship in order to see all your options and all the visa requirements.
Original documents are requested only when student application is in question, but they may also be requested for other applications as well, but usually for other cases photocopies are enough. All of the original documents will be returned.

You don’t have to do the medical examination / X-Ray if you only need a temporary visa, but if you are applying to stay longer than 3 months in Australia in a single visit, if you will enter a classroom environment for more than three months, if you will enter a hospital, or other health care environment, or if you want to study as dentist nurse or a doctor, if you are going to work at an Australian childcare center or if you are 75 years or older and naturally are applying for permanent visa, you need to take the medical examination. The result from medical examination is valid for 12 months and during that period you don’t have to do it again.

In order to successfully apply for visa, you will need to read all the instructions on the application form carefully and you have to provide all the required details. Make sure that everything you provide is valid, because if that’s not the case, your application will most likely be refused.

To pay the application fee, you can use both bank cheque or cash. You can only use Indonesian Rupiah to pay for that service, that is the requirement from the Australian Government. However, your friend or relative can pay the fee for you in any Immigration Office in Australia with Australian dollars.

To get your visa or passport, you need to go in Australian Consulate Bali and staff there will verify all the documents you provide and make the decision by themselves.
When you are submitting your application with the AVAC, you don’t need to make an appointment and you need to pay a fee of 180 000 Rp per passport.

Registered migration agents, student education agents and travel agents are allowed to submit the visa application for you.

You can submit directly Declaratory visa and Citizenship visa applications at the Immigration Section via post or you can make an appointment via email and do it in person.

Whenever your contact consulate via email (which is preferred), you will receive the response within 48 hours, but you can also call the staff via phone during their business hours. Clients are usually not seen in embassy and security there is airport-like.

All the suggestions, feedback, complaints and compliments can be sent via email, Australian Consulate Bali will be glad to hear from you.

If you have any urgent situation you can receive consul help immediately by calling the number provided on website from Australian Consulate Bali, but if your case is not urgent please use email to contact us.
